Uninstalling Netscape 4.73

manual uninstall Communicator 4.73

I have been following this thread looking for an answer to my uninstall issue.

I have Communicator 4.73 installed on a Win 98 computer and need to uninstall. However, the program is not listed on my "add/remove" list in control panel, I cannot find the uninstall utility in the Netscape folders. I went to the Sillydog site to download a new version of 4.73 to overinstall, but the Sillydog is sleeping (i.e., site does not respond for Communicator 4.73).

How can I do a clean manual uninstall? Thanks.

The simple method is to install over the top of the version you already have, then uninstall after backing up your user profile.

However, it would be wise to create a new thread, so it doesn't get burried at the end of this one where no one will see it
