Uninstalling Camedia 4.0 Software

    I'm having difficulty uninstalling Camedia 4.0 software. When I went to START>SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL>ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS and attempted removing the Camedia s/w it brought up the OLYMPUS CAMEDIA MASTER 4.0 PANEL and then the INSTALL SHIELD WIZARD which asked 'DO YOU WANT TO REMOVE THE APPLICATION' ---I then pressed the 'OK' button. After that I got a message that 'maintenance' had been completed but the Camedia s/w was still present.. I restarted the computer and tried the above steps again and got the same set of messages so it appeared that the s/w hadn't been uninstalled. Any suggestions will be greatly appeciated----thanks for your help, Marion McCaleb

    This may sound back to front so to speak, but I would re-install the software - if you can and then try uninstalling it again.

    Yes, that's what I've decided to do---I contacted Olympus and they told me that reinstalling the s/w automatically uninstalls the previous s/w. If I should still have problems they gave me a set of instructions that should work with a number to call for live tech support (no charge)---thanks for your suggestions---Marion McCaleb
