On the family computer my mother was unhappy with the layout of firefox so last night i unintalled it using "add or remove programs" I resett Internet Explorer as my default browser but it will not display pages. i was also using P2P downloading programme at the time which continued to download so its not a problem with the connection. in the tools bar i clicked in internet options and ran a diagnostics which found no problem with my connection though while it was running a bubble appeared twice telling me an area cable was unplugged. though i had a look and it didnt seem to be. Any ideas what the problem is??

    Thanks guys

I don't think that it matters if you reset IE as default. Firefox and IE are not related, and I have never run into problems uninstalling a Firefox version, other than IE coming up unasked for.
Do you have dialup? With broadband one should be able to get anything.
May be you should go to the Internet Explorer forum. And, leave out the business about Firefox. It serves no useful purpose to mention that, but it would help to know which version Internet Explorer and the Operating System was used.

katyboo - Welcome to the Board :)

I've moved your thread to the Internet Explorer forum.

Please let us know which version of Windows and Internet Explorer that you are using and also if you get any error messages or simply 'Page cannot be displayed'.
