Good day to all, I recently installed XP Pro x64 on a second drive in my computer. Install went fine and on boot it showed a screen with the option to boot into XP Pro x64 ar XP Home. After playing around with the x64 for a couple of weeks, I decided that I did not want it and reformatted the drive. Got everything off the second hd but when I boot it still shows the option to boot into XP Pro x64 or XP Home. How do I get rid of this screen so that the computer will boot directly into XP Home? Thanks in advance, Frank

Right click the My Computer icon or Start Menu item and select Properties. On the Advanced tab, select Startup and Recovery Settings button. Click the Edit button under System Startup field. Remove the entire line containing the XP Pro installation. You should also verify that the default= line options multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1) match the ones for the Home installation. If they don't, change the one's on the default= line to match the one's on the Home line. Do NOT change the line containing the Home installation! Close and save changes when done.
