uninstall Microsoft Suites

    If I uninstall Microsoft Works Suite and I have files in other folders and they were made in Word will I lose any files?:rolleyes:

    Yes, thanks for your fast reply. When I checked with Dell because I had some other problems they did not assure me.
    Today has been my worst day since 1989 with my personal computer.

    I have backed up some files on a cd and they have a read only on the title. I have checked all my information and noone explains how this happens.

    When you say that all the files are read only do you mean that if you check the properties of the file you find that they are read only. When I backup files on CD-R they always become read only in the properties. You should be able to change it from read only and save the file to your hard drive.

    Save the files back to your hard drive..and change the properties to archive.......once they are back on your computer.
