Resolved Uninstall AVG 2013 never finishes the task.

    HP tx2-1020us, Vista Home Premium, AVG Free 2013.

    I've tried to uninstall this software through the Control panel but it seems not to be doing anything at all. I thought it might have completed and I tried to uninstall another program and got this notice.

    "Please wait until the current program is finished uninstalling or being changed. "

    I clicked the only option, "OK" and waited - after more than an hour the task isn't finished!

    There is no evidence that anything is being processed. :confused:

    What else can I do to uninstall AVG? All help will be appreciated.

    Hi Ed. Download and run the AVG Removal Tool from this link which should uninstall AVG for you, AVG Removal Tool.

    Why are you trying to uninstall AVG in the first place? Are you going to be using another security program instead?

    Thanks Evan!

    The program I am trying to remove is 32 bit and the computer is 64 bit.
    So I want to install the AVG 64 bit program.

    I'll get the suggested software and post again with the result.
