    Hi people!
My son has just bought a 2nd hand laptop with XP Pro on it,it also has Word and Office which he doesn't want on there?
I seem to remember that they have to be uninstalled a certain way.(he wants it for music and games).
Can anyone point me to a link or tell me how to do this safely please?:)

If there is a CD, insert it. Run the removal from Add/Remove or just run the setup and unchoose (is that a word?) all the options.

My idea is that it probably used an msi installer and that the installer and uninstaller are one and the same.

You may be able to uninstall without the CD, but I was just preparing you for the possibility that you may need it.

I'd suspect that uninstalling could be done with your CD (if necessary), but someone with experience may be able to tell you better.

I installed the entire Office XP Pro suite to test a CD copy and uninstalled it without problems (maybe a minor fragment here and there), so I don't imagine you'll have a problem.

If you do, just drop in here.
