I had a previous install of Home Premium a few months ago which ran OK for a couple of months,I then got a few wee niggly annoying things happen so I took it off and put XP back on for a while. However,I like to have the latest things and had paid £60 for my OEM Vista,so I put it back on and it started rebooting every so often. The first things I tried were to think of any software I had on it that I didn't have on it the last time and remove them one at a time to see if it sorted the problem. The first one to go was Daemon tools lite.I was starting to think the prob was fixed when after almost 20 hours the PC rebooted again.I have just removed the next different program,it is Winamp.I am now waiting to see if this does anything.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? It's becoming VERY annoying now.

    PS
The only other program that is any different is I have avast anti virus, the last install I used AVG.

Thanks,I will persevere for another day or two to see what happens. If I get more reboots then I'll contact the shop I bought the PC from. They are a good outfit but I like to leave sending my PC to them as a last resort.

I'll check back in from time to time over the weekend to see if I'm licky enough to have one of your experts visit.

I think you will find they need debugging information.
