Are you trying to create a partition that you had deleted? PM will allow you to do this.

blumash-- Are you asking if you can Undo ( "undelete ") that deletion?
You can certainly use Partition Magic to recreate a partition with the drive letter of the former partition, but PM will not recreate the data that was on that partition.
I do not know if it is possible to recover that data. Did you Format the old partition before you deleted it? If you just merged the old partition with another partition, have you looked for the data on the other partition?
If you formatted the old partition, you can try the data recovery program called Restoration, which is small enough to be downloaded to a floppy and run from the floppy, thereby avoiding writing to the drive.

There is an option in Partition Magic to undelete a previous partition intact with all its data. It's just not very good sometimes at finding deleted partitions, but if it does find it, it will usually restore it.

    McTavish--
    Good for you.
When all else fails, read the instruction manual
    "Undeleting Partitions
The Undelete operation restores partitions that have been deleted on disk. You can
undelete FAT, FAT32, NTFS, and Linux partitions. Undelete works best when you use it
to restore a partition that you just deleted by accident. If you are undeleting partitions after
you have made other changes (written data to them, resized existing partitions, etc.), see
“Restrictions on Undeleting Partitions" on page 46.
1 Select the unallocated space to be searched.
    2 Click Partition ➤ Undelete.
IMPORTANT! You can undelete a partition only if no other operations are pending on
the unallocated space selected. If any operations are pending, the
Undelete icon and menu option will be dimmed (inaccessible). "
P.S. There are other instructions for Undelete in the User Guide for Partition Magic.
