We have two Comcast e-mail accounts, one for family stuff and the other for on-line shopping and non-family things. I've always used IE8 for the family stuff, and a couple of years back, I started using Google Chrome for the other account. I usually have both browsers up and each tied to the Comcast home page.

Starting about a week ago, the Google Chrome account started acting up. It keeps signing me off without a command to do so and I can no longer get to my e-mails. When I click on the e-mail access panel, a new sign-on page comes up instead of the e-mail with the message that I'm not signed in.

I can get to the shopping account through IE, but it's messy. Even when there are no new e-mails in the account, Chrome's "new mail" count doesn't recognise that they've been opened.

I'm also experiencing Chrome being "unable to connect to" various web-sites that it hasn't had problems with before. This is intermittent.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? I've removed Chrome and re-installed it, but the problem persists.

Have you tried accessing these email accounts on another computer?
