I did an unattended windows server 2008 install on my computer. I only have remote desktop to connect to it as the computer is at a remote location. Whats the usual install time? I enabled rds and enabled the exceptions on my firewall, did everything with my router to forward and set a static ip. Atleast i set all of it up in the unattended file. is there any way to check on this? to see if it installed?

    thanks.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

I'd guess it'd take an hour or so to install... Trying to connect to it via RDP would be one way to test... Having someone eye ball the machine would be a good idea. If you missed ONE step of the automated install it could be sitting there waiting for a human to input something.
