Resolved Unable to see hidden folders

    Hi I am using XP.In my C drive i can see 40 folders and 14 hidden,when i go to folder options and check mark show hidden folders then also it does not shows the folders?:confused:

    See if unchecking "Hide protected operating system files" (OK the warning message, click OK to close the Folder Options window) does what you want.

    Thanks Miz,I unchecked the same and got the message Pressed OK and checked show hidden files & folders apply but it again gets unchecked.

    As explained on this page, the problem you've having is a sympton of a common virus.

    That page has instructions for a registry edit to show hidden files and folders.

    I suggest you post the problem in the Malware and Virus Removal forum to make sure your computer is clean.
