   Can someone please help?
   
   I have followed the instructions from the microsoft website but when I run the program WindowsXP-KB835732-x86-ENU it starts to install the necessary files but the pop-up disappears before I can click on 'next' or 'I agree' and the sasser virus remains on my computer.
   
   Any Ideas?

   I don't think that the virus can be removed by installing that update.
   
   Download the appropriate W32.Sasser Removal Tool
   
   As I understand it, WindowsXP-KB835732-x86-ENU has been saved to Your harddisk.
   
   Disconnect from the internet, run the appropriate Removal Tool and then install KB835732.
