I need some assistance please. I am currently am running Win XP Pro on a PIV. I had installed Norton Systems Works Pro 2003. I uninstalled the program using the normal add/remove in the control program. But I am still seeing the remains from their program in the add/remove with no option to change/remove. I have gone to Symantec's web site to seek help. I have done the manual uninstall with their instructions. But I still have two of their programs remaining in the add/remove. Norton & ghost. I have gone further into the registry to:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall, but there is nothing there in the registry with those two names. Any suggestions will be helpful. I also ran the Norton SYSCLN.exe to locate any remains. None found. I also installed add/remove plus 2004 and uninstall manager as well as add remove 4 good to see if they could do a further deeper clean. I have run Reg supreme a registry cleaner to remove any invalid entries. So as you can see I am at my wits end. Sorry for the rambling, but I want to give as much information as possible.
    Regards,
    Arm

When you got to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\C, did you click on each alphanumeric entry and then check over in the right-hand pane for "Display Name" to see if the entries you want to remove are there?

Since that's where the entries for the Add/Remove Programs list is stored, the ones you want to get rid of must be there somewhere.

I just did that. And found no reference to the alphanumeric entry display name for the above mentioned?

You can download a program to get rid of those entries for you, Add/Remove 4Good. It's shareware but it will remove up to 7 entries from the Add/Remove list before you have to register it, so it should work for you.

RegSeeker usually finds alot of leftovers that other cleaners don't. In addition to using the 'clean registry', use the search registry/files for any leftovers also. NAV, NIS, Symantec, Norton and Ghost should get them all.
