Unable to play embeded sounds in IE8

Can anybody help me with this one, since I have upgraded to IE 8 the embeded music in web pages does not play as it did in IE 7.

 

Go to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced Tab and scroll down to Multimedia and make sure there is a check in Play sounds in webpages.

Maybe just shooting in the dark here, but are you up to date on your Sun Java? The latest version is 6 update 15. You should be able to find it in your Control Panel/Add or Remove programs.

Bill I have update 14, I will do an update

 

Bill the update tells me I have the latest version

 

15 is the latest version, not 14. I have used this for a long time to also make sure I am up to date.

Click on Start Scan on the first page. Then put a check in BOTH boxes on the next page in the Scan Options then click Start.

Mr Bill, although the updater told me I was up to date with update 14 Java did an automatic update to 15 yesterday and now the sound problem is ok web pages playing fine, thanks for your help!
