Hey guys. Im having a problem doing System Restore. Anytime i try it, when it loads back up, all it says is "No changes were made. Unable to perform system restore "
Im trying to do it because out of nowhere, a handful of websites wont open for me, that my friends can access. So im thinking maybe some settings got changed, and i just cant find what they are.
    Has someone got any ideas?

    Thanx

    Hello beebop,

To test whether SR is working or not:

Go into the Program Folders and look into one of the progam's folder and copy any file with an extension of .exe
to the C drive. Make sure you COPY and not move.

For instance, I have a search program called AgentRansack.exe. I would copy that to the C drive "naked" - no need to put it into a folder.

    Then:
Create a manual System Restore point.

    Delete the copied .exe file.

Then try a System Restore to that manual restore point you created.

First, SR should not tell you no changes made, and second, the deleted copied .exe file should be back.

    Regards - Charles
