Resolved Unable to locate run as administrator.

    I no longer able to save programs/files to disk using save as Administrator.

    Hi BobbyScot. Can you give me some more information about your problem? When you download a program from the Internet and save it to the desktop, can you right click the program and select Run as Administrator? There is no option to save as administrator when you save files to disk so I am not sure what you mean here.

    Do you have User Account Control enabled?

    Hello Evan Omo, thank you for reply. I have set up always notify. When saving programs not able to save as Aministrator. Error has only started yesterday out of the blue.

    You could try lowering the security level of UAC to Never Notify, reboot the computer and test the issue. If no change then revert the UAC setting to where you had it set before. Have you tried using a different Internet browser to see if that makes any difference? Can you post a screenshot of the exact error message? That would help.

    Also have you tried running System Restore to restore your computer to an earlier state before this problem occurred?

    I caried out as suggested a computer restore to an earlier date. This step has repaired the error and now able to run computer in the administrator mode. thank you for your help, appreciated.
