Resolved Unable to install KB954430

    Windows (XP Pro SP3)



    Whenever I try to install update KB954430 a message appears which says:

    "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation"



    I have been able to install other updates without this problem

    Hi kesher. KB954430 is an update to MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2.

    MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 3 has already been released so you don't need to install that update. Instead download and install MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 3.

    Although I have another problem with an update.

    Whenever I try to install KB954459, I get the following message:


    'Setup was interrupted before before MSXML6 service pack 2 could be completely installed ....to complete installation another time, run setup again'

    I've tried to install it a number of times; but I keep getting the same message

    I was trying to update manually; however, the update I was trying to install was on a disc so I downloaded the update again from the microsoft website straight to my desktop and installed from desktop no problem.
