    Hi!

I am about to upgrade my wife's laptop from Vista to Windows 7 and am terrified of losing her Windows Calendar data!

I have followed instructions for exporting the .ics file and the system appears to got through the motions and creates a file, but it is only 1Kb in size, and when I try to restore it into a new calendar, there is no data there at all!

Can anyone offer any advice please?

    Thanks,

    Roger

In the left-hand pane, highlight the name of the calendar before going to Export.

Unable to Export Windows Calendar - SOLVED Thanks

    Hi Mattman,

How silly! Sorry, I followed your instructions and of course it worked well!

I do not use the calendar myself, and my wife has several individual calendars with different names, so by highlighting each in turn I was able to copy the data. The default calendar name is in fact an empty calendar and this is why I was getting no data saved!

Thanks again, sorry to be so dumb,

    Regards,

    Roger
