unable to download music

I am unable to download music onto Real player, I,ve tried everything but still get, no joy. Anyone, any ideas? I can still play from my own library but on each new download the words, unable to download, appear.

hi there gordonjoe, when you say you can not download, do you mean downloading from the Internet or copy music from CD or MP3 to your library.

I am unable to download from the internet and keep getting unable to download coming onto the top of my real player. I am working on the idea that it might be something to do with my flash player, and I am about to try that route. Thanks for your interest and any advice would be welcome.

 

Hi ! Hawke22, I tried to download latest version of flashplayer and real player but still no result, I am still not able to download to my library on real-player, though can still play from my past downloads before problem occured. So I now have latest version of flash but still unable to download from the net.

 

I use the WMP and Media Monkey but neither of them give me access to a direct download into the library, not to my knowledge anyway.
When I download I will either download to the desktop or into the Download Folder and proceed from there.
Not being familiar with Real Player I can not give you any advice on what you can do there.

 

Thanks for the info hawk22, is it possible to download music video's from, you -tube,into media player instead of real player or even onto another file? I am a novice as far as computers are concerned and just assumed that the only way to download music is through or onto real player from the web? Thanks, I really apprieciate your knowledge.

 

hi gordonjoe, I think I am starting to get the drift from where you stand.
In general to download music or video from you-tube you will need a special program to do that, there are several free ones around just google for them.
here is one: http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/
For you to start off with, I would suggest that you either do your downloads to the Desktop or the Download Folder in My Documents then play the music or video and transfer it into your library of whatever media player you use.
VLC is a free player that plays most formats of video CD and MP3.
It is free and you can download it from the Internet.
Give that a try and see how you go.

 

Many Thanks, Hawk22, I shall give that a try and hopefully get somewhere. Funny thing is, that my Real Player on my desktop is working fine with no problems downloading at all and, thats on Windows XP. Thanks for your advice and time.

 

You have to tick a box in Options in Real Player so that it offers to download videos for you.
