    Hi,
    Windows XP sp2
    Pentium core (tm)2 6400 @2.13 GHz
    2.13 ghz 2.00 gbs ram
For my work, I enter a userId and password. From the Web site ( "Work site ") I can access another Web site (For journals) ( "Journal Site ")
I have to go through the following 2 screens (on any PC) this is nomal:
"Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party.

Are you sure you want to continue sending this information? "
    next:
"Full access to this "Journal site" is provided by "Work site ".

I am using a "new" PC (Dell), with a router. and I cannot get full access to the "journal site" I only get a "sign-in" page (I don't have the general userid or pw for this because no one has ever needed it)

My old PC (HP) and every other one in the house (even an old win95) do allow me full access to the journals (through the "work site ")

I have NAV (and Norton internet security) v. 9.1.1.7 (?) NAV 12.8.0.4 (?) in various stages of inactivation on the dell

I have the norton products on both - the dell and the hp but the hp version is older
On the hp the norton versions are: 8.0.7.1 and 11.0.17

I use firefox 3.01 but also have I.E. 6.0.x. I cannot access the "journal site" with either browser on the dell system.

I went through the list of I.E relating to the internet comparing the new system's settings with the "old" system's settings they are the same. I have windows firewall temporarily inactivated.

    Could someone please help me?
    Thank you

    Hi,
I've solved my problem which looking at my post is very unclear...
Basically the problem was: I could not access one specific Web site which required logging on to another Web site first.
The sign in credentials to the first site were not "saved ".
I disabled norton internet security which allows me access.
I re-enabled windows firewall and can still get to the specific site.
