ABIT KX7-333R motherboard, want to use the 'Additional USB Plugs Header' to connect the front UBS ports of my case. The header lists it's pins as: VCC 0; VCC 1; DATA -0; DATA -1; DATA +0; DATA +1; GND; GND & GND. Leads from UBS port are labeled VCC 1; VCC 2; DATA -1; DATA -2; DATA +1; DATA +2; GND 1; GND 2 & SHIELD. Do I do the obvious substitutions or what? Thanks.

hehehe ...... Befuddled huh? 4 wires for each USB port and you're baffled by 4 pins on one side and 5 on the other. Take a look at your Abit plug - 5/4 w 1 blocked and match up wires on your case harness going to the USB ports. Thats the quick answer even though black, red and white or just black and red are probably going to be the only matches - you'll figure it out in no time.

There is no case harness, just 9 seperate wires that will plug into the ABIT board. :D

Thats what I was referencing. I'll try to take a look in the next day or two and get back to you with specifics - I always take the Abit 2 port slot device and match em up (case USB wires) when the case has its own USB ports on the front or side. I'll be doing another board tomorrow and will write things down.

OK, I think I got ya....while that 2 port slot device only has 8 wires I will put the wire marked 'SHIELD' in the 9th peg. I'm not using the 2 port slot device (glad I didn't throw it away) as I have installed a USB 2.0 card w/4+1 slots.
