I just discovered an exe labeled UACTOKEN running on my XP system. I do not seem to have any problems, but it appears to be new and when I search on it, I find only references to VISTA.

Is this a problem for me or not and what is it on XP?

Search your hard drive and see if you find something that jogs your memory.

And then do a FULL Virus scan;)

    Thanks,
I should have known to do what you suggest.

It belongs to Arcsoft and HP - problem is I have never seen it before and I look at Task Manager quite often. Full virus scan says all ok.

Says installed July 2009. I guess ok, but just weird that it shows up as a VISTA program in an internet search. Under Vista has to do with user permissions. This is my home PC and I am considered administrator.

Will change it's name and see if makes any difference.

I changed the name to OLDUACTOKEN.exe as I had indicated I would do, and so far have seen no problems with program not running.

At this poin,t I will close this Thread and only reopen if something new appears due to this programs
