Why are there two directories for the same files? When I look at my C:\users\Norton directory, then I look at a directory named Norton under the Desktop, it also is C:\users\Norton. And, as you know, one is a mirror of the other.

I expected to find one of the directories with shortcuts. However, it appears that they are separate, identical files, or more likely, only one file with two views. If I were to delete the Norton directory, which is not under C:\users\Norton, when looking at Windows Explorer, what would happen?
