I have set up the task scheduler to run the disk cleanup and disk defragmenter when I am not there. Unfortunately, I have to click on a button on both functions in order for them to run. Is there anyway that I can bypass the button and just have the functions run automatically?

Take a look at Kirby Alarm - no idea how good it is, but has been recommended on the Board.

Windows XP comes with a command line defragmenter that you can use. Just create a batch file and schedule the batch file to run. I use Diskeeper but before I had it, I used this method and it works. Have a look here. There is a command line counterpart for a lot of the tools in XP. I believe there's one for disk cleanup too but I'm not sure. I'll have to dig a bit.

Here's an article that explains much more about the command line defrag tool and how to use it. The page was down before so I didn't post it then.
