Here is what I have. I have a 40 gig Samsung drive that I am trying to straighten out the partitions and extra space on the drive. When I started working on the drive there where 3 partitions. I deleted the second partition but I'm now left with 1.97 GB of free space between two partitions. Is there a way for me to be able to merge that extra space into the primary boot partition?

    Matt

update.... I am using gparted editor to resize the partition to absorb the free space that is on either side but, when I click on "Apply" it gives me an error and will not allow it to continue.

Know there wasn't really anything important on it. I just wanted to avoid having to reinstall XP if I could. I did a surface scan of the drive using one of the utilities on the UBCD and found that there where quite a few errors towards the end of the drive. I did a disk wipe and will be repartitioning it as one partition.

If disk errors were shown you may wish to use Samsungs HUtil tool to give the HD a thourough check up before using it.
