I have some archive stuff recorded long ago on 100Mb Zip discs. I want to access. My PC does not have a zip drive. I have bought an external one, which comes with a floppy disc containing the drivers (?) but I don't have a floppy disc drive either. I have been to the Iomega site, and note that the drivers only support older versions of Windows - up to XP, whereas I am running Windows 7. Still, I tried, downloaded them ( I think - although I kept getting offered all sorts of other stuff which I don't think I want ).
The Iomega instructions tell me after downloading- from the floppy - I insert a Tools Zip disc in the drive, and then follow the on screen instructions. But I never get any on screen instructions.
I can't find that any installation for the drivers has been made - the device is not shown in My Computer or Device Manager.
    Any help, please ?

Will my Iomega product work with Windows 7?

If your Zip drive is on the list .....
In other words just plug it in and Windows should/may recognise it and load the drivers..

    No, that didn't work.

However, it occurred to me to look for- and I found - an external floppy disc drive said to be compatible with WEindows 7, for only about £10. So I've ordered that. Crossed fingers, it will be the answer.

    Thanks for trying, though.
