I have 3 computers all 3 are using a wireless connection. THe main computer has windows xp, the other computer has windows xp, the last computer is a lap top that has windows VISTA

I have moved some files into "shared" section of one of my computers HOWEVER I cannot access these files when i go on to the other computer they just dont exist! Can someone please tell me how I can share files between these 3 compuers? I Thought if put into the shared section that they would atomatically be available to all other computers but this does not seem to be the case as i cannot find the files i put in the shared section on any other computer. HOpefully someone will have the answer this is so depressing.

The shared folder on one computer is not the same folder as that on another. You have to connect to the other computer and connect to the shared folder on that PC.

So a computer called PC1 will have a shared folder, and another PC called PC2 will also have a shared folders. Browse to PC1 in network neighbourhood and open its shared folder to see the files there. Browse to PC2 to see PC2's shared files. There will be two separate locations:

    \\PC1\shared
    \\PC2\shared
