I'm not sure this is a Firefox problem; may be a Microsoft problem. Twice, now, in the past couple of months, my home page (myyahoo) has suddenly changed to the newer version of myyahoo --- but I don't want it. I want to stick with the older page. Last time, I just changed it back, but now I'm assuming it will just happen again. How do I keep this from happening?

    Hi Alice,

I'm thinking it's a Yahoo issue, and I joined Yahoo and created a MyYahoo page, using the old format. So far, I've seen no switching to the new beta format. I'm using Firefox 3.0, are you?

Have you posted the problem on any of the Yahoo Help Forums? If not, I will be glad to do it for you.

I've had a Yahoo account for ten years and I also wanted to remain with the Classic but they keep bouncing me to the Beta as well. And once you create a My Yahoo page in beta and decide to return to Classic, they pester you to switch back. It's definitely a Yahoo and not a Firefox issue.

    Yahoo home page problem

Thank you, Ramona and James. I am using Firefox 3. Ramona, if you still want to post it to a Yahoo page, please do. I'm not familiar with that forum. Thanks.

I hate the new My Yahoo format - none of the problems have to do with Firefox 3 which I regularly use. As of a couple of days ago you have no choice but to use the new format. They have as of now completely messed it up. In addition there are still several bugs in this new format.

If anyone knows of something better that exists today please advise.
I tried MSN home page but cannot customize it to the way I would prefer.

I had MyYahoo home page setup just perfectly.

I am actually just ranting right now because no place else to do so. I have communicated several times with them but not received satisfactory responses.

This does not belong in this forum but was not sure where to put it and some had already been concerned re My Yahoo in this FF Forum.

    Try myway.com

Frankly, I also do not like being forced to abandon the older Yahoo style for this beta, particularly the Yahoo mail which is absolutely horrible. It's why I tend to use Myway. Try it.

    Google's home page

Have you guys tried the personal home page on Google? I liked the old Yahoo better, so I didn't ever do much with the Google one, but now I think I'll go have another look at that.

A word of caution re MYWAY

McAfee site advisor gives a yellow warning for this site - however once I create a MyWay web page , McAfee says the site is fine. Many comments - some good some bad on Mcafee. Just be careful if you use it. Seems fine to me But ---

myway.com | Web Safety Ratings from McAfee SiteAdvisor

Still not what I am looking for so will continue my search. Checking out Google next.

Cant find decent local TV schedule for my area on Igoogle.

May also look at ccmcast home page which is my ISP. Just thought of that.
So far the old Yahoo was just what I wanted.
