Hello - it's me again (sighs).

Having trouble and did a virus scan and found this c:\WINDOWS\rico.exe - TrojanDownloader:Win32/VB.DX -> Infected.

I keep getting illegal ops message coming up and have to close down and start again. It is fine for a while, then get illegal ops again. Have done spybot and adaware and they are fine. Should I do a hijack this log and send for perusal.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    regards

    Joan

joan_uk01--You say you did a virus scan. Won't your virus scanner (AntiVirus program?) offer to quarantine and/or delete what it found? (A good AV program should do that.)
    If not, see here
    http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp/1095871904
    And here
    http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&q=rico.exe
Of course, you can run an HJT scan and post in the HiJackThis forum here.
Or consider a scan with an AntiTrojan program.

Do you still have the problems?
If yes, suggest you post your HJT log here
    http://www.windowsbbs.com/forumdisplay.php?f=18
I understand your "virus scan" program found a trojan some days ago, but now does not?
What is that 'virus scan' program?
Did you run any of the trojan scans?
