OK here we go again... i left kazaalite open for the last 18 hours or so to d/load a film, came home from work today and recognized the unfriendly icon on desktop that arrived the same time i got hacked by someone who left a worm.
the icon is named ~ but has no details to it.
the last worm i had was .bot or something.

what do i do now........ :(

P.S. as a safety measure i have installed a netgear router (also for flatmates to connect) and set it up with its own firewall, as well as xp pro firewall running, so how come i keep getting hacked???

Verdi....It's most likely a backup copy of your address book. Hold on, I'll go look for the link on this.

    *Edit*

Ok.....just because everyone loves a lecture.....
When ever in doubt, whether you have a virus, go and do a free online scan at: Housecall

There's no need to be without a virus scanner. AVG is free, and works well.

In my opinion, Windows XP's firewall isn't worth a grain of salt, but luckily, ZoneAlarm is still free. Which I use in conjunction with me rother firewall.
