When a trial software expires, how does it recognize it's been installed before? I'm assuming because it leaves a registry entry.

If I "m correct in this assumption, how do you find the registry foot print left by a particular piece of software? Keys don't always have the name of the software.

    Thanks
    Kevin

Yes, there is a Registry entry somewhere. Not too ethical though for someone to offer tips on beating it, least in a public forum. ;)
