Yuk! I have absolutely no idea as to the cause of this problem or, for that matter, the solution :(

Can you get the system up and running with a boot disk?

i can boot with win98 & win2k so doubt if hardware problem - since its Ntfs win98 of course cant read harddrive.

so question - can i use any disks to start computer or should i try to boot with win2k cdr and just do a reinstall over old installation and hope it corrects problem (providing 'puter can boot off of cdrom disk - i know this can be done on win 9x system with no problem- of course that doesnt mean problem would be fixed)

but i never worked with ntfs and Winnt4 cdr has a "fix corrupted files" choice- does win2k have same thing ?

ill take whatever u got - i havent worked with ntfs to know problems

    thanx
