    Hi:

I'm decommissioning one computer and installing everything on my new computer.

Is it possible to transfer my messages and contacts from OE6 on the old computer to OE6 on the new computer, please?

    I've already tried...
    1) On the older computer: File > Export > Messages... which went through the motions of exporting them and then... nothing! Doesn't say where they are.
    2) Did a Search on recently created files and found a whole load of ones with my EO6 folder names (foldername.dbx)... so I copied them over to the new computer and used Import in that OE6... which said that there were no messages in the folder I'd saved them in. So, no joy there.

I'd appreciate you help, please, thanks!
    Barry.

The File > Export > Messages command exports messages to Outlook or Exchange - a dialogue pops up to this effect.

    Follow the instructions here .....

How to back up and to restore Outlook Express data

You can also export/import your IE Favourites and Cookies .....

File > Import and Export and follow the wizaed. Export to a folder on the existing computer or pen drive - transfer to new computer and import.
