I have both USB transfer and CAT5e crossover patch cables, but I don't know how to use them to move files from obne computer to another.

Can someone get me started in the right direction?

    Hi,

Have a look at Windows XP's File and Settings Transfer Wizard

Also, please don't post your email address... You don't want it there for everybody to see. And people will post their replies here, that's the whole idea of this BBS.

    Hi,
Your "crossover " cable will only transfer data between TWO computers using network adapters (NICs...network interface cards).

Use "PING" to see if one computer can communicate to the other (probably the main networking utility :))

    My setup bases of information:

Look at the tutorials for your setup.
