When I hit SEND TO to transfer files from my documents to a backup hard drive, the files are sent, but also remain in my documents. How can I send them to the back up and remove them from my documents?

Do I have to go back and delete them from my documents....each time?

I use a freeware called SendToAnyFolder to do that. Once you set it up with your folder add the default path, it's quick as can be. You get to select whether to Move or Copy when you use it. It places itself on the right-click context menu for easy access. Google should turn it up.

Otherwise you can use drag/drop for Moving files by right-clicking for the drag instead of left. That'll give you a choice menu when you drop the files. A bit clumsier than the freeware though.

edit: It's item #9 on This page. There's a link there to the home site for the download.
