I have a Toshiba Tecra laptop running Win2000pro.(10gb HD) I was given a Toshiba Tecra laptop with Win98. (6GB HD) I plan to give the gift computer to my wife for her very own. Is it possible or even legal to install the Win2000pro from the first laptop into the second laptop? This came preloaded on my computer so I do not have the Win2000 installation software. The only thing on the second computer is the Win98 OS at this point. Both computers are physically identical. Can they be magicaly hooked together somehow and make the transfer? My wife has used my laptop and is comfortable with Win2000. I would prefer to not make a step backward if at all possible.
    Thanks
