Have you tried File > Import - the Import Wizard opens with Outlook as a source from which you can import messages?

Try the opposite then - export the messages from Outlook. I don't know if this is possible as I do not run Outlook, but in OE the facility exists to export to Outlook.

Can you import from any of the Outlook folders such as Inbox? If so move your archives there and import.

Re. Address Book I guess Address Book > File > Import doesn't work?

You can do that with Outlook's Export feature. Start the export and sooner or later you'll get to the stage where it will ask you which folder you want to export. That's where you tell it the specific folder. You'll have to do it for each of the folders you want to export.

Here are the steps, click "Next" to proceed after each:
    File>Import and Export
    1. Export to a file
    2. Export each as "Comma Separated Values (Windows) "
    3. Click once on the folder you want to export
    4. Tell it where you want to save the file and give it a name
    5. It will then give you a window to check your choices
    6. If all is correct, click Finish

Once you have the folders exported, go into Outlook Express and import them from the csv files you made.
