transfer XP to new computer

    I have an old compaq 7360 that has windows 98 up dated to window XP.
    I now have acquired a dell gx240 used, with windows 2000.
    I would like to transfer the files and operating system(XP) from the compaq to the dell

    Legally, you can't transfer an OEM operating system.

    You could network the computers/use a flash drive/use the old drive as a slave to transfer the important files you need.
