transfer programs PC to LPTP

    Hi
    I have a great cable, managed to set network, transfer programs.

    Programs don't work! :mad:
    What is wrong or do i have to do something else than simply transfer?:confused:

    I don't know about others, but I have no idea what you're trying to do. Better try explaining in some more details.

    As I see it you are trying to copy a program from one computer to another. Unless the program is a standalone .exe - i.e. does not install, but runs directly from the drive location you have no chance.

    When a program is installed certain files are installed to a folder in Program Files or wherever you choose to install it, but many files associated with the program are installed in the bowels of Windows and innumerable Registry keys created. There is no way that a simple copy of the Program Files folder to another computer will give you a working program.

    You must install the program on each computer.

    you cannot copy programs over as in the good old days of dos
    with windows parts of the program are over the place in the hard drive
    you have to have the install disks for the programs
