Transfer FF3 and T'bird profile date on Vista?

I have just installed FF3.0.3 and Thunderbird 2.0.0.17 on a new Vista Home Premium partition and attempted to transfer profile date as I had just done on the XP new partition. As noted by Arie in a thread on the Vista forum, I could not access the appropriate "junction points" or find where the profiles might be buried in the dark depths of Vista. Has anyone encountered this and solved it or does one have to start over on Vista?

I knew Vista would be an "adventure ".
