How do I transfer my old Outlook Express 6 folders from my old Hard Drive that has W98SE (now D slave) to my new XP Professional Hard Drive (C master)? They both have the latest version 6 of OE.

I don't know where W98 stores the OE folder data so I can't import them. ''

You can use SEARCH and type in *.dbx and it'll show you where the files are located on your D: drive.

The path usually is, C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Identities\{F5E8C6ED-5C9D-42F8-B75D-74BA69886CF0}\Microsoft\Outlook Express
    Good luck.

ps, I suggest you change the location of your mail store folder on XP to something a little more friendly than the default. Open OE and click TOOLS > OPTIONS > MAINTENANCE > STORE FOLDER > CHANGE and type in something like C:\mymail. That makes it lots easier next time.

    One more question.

Can I make the "my mail" folder the same for both MS Outlook and Outlook Express?

If so how do I change the location for MS Outlook? Or is it automatic with OE?

Since MS has chosen not to integrate the Outlook address book with Outlook Express one, even though it would seem to be the right thing to do, I wouldn't advise commingling the two at the user level.
