Ad-Aware is protecting me O.K. but I seem to be getting hit by data miner cookies (just low level advertising threats), but I still do not like others nosing around in my stuff. I have blocked 3rd party on my IE, but they still seem to get through? Is there any protection or program that might stop and/or track these intrusions? As you can see I am pretty well protected, but it bothers me that they have just started popping up. Are they getting better or are my defences getting weaker against newer threats. Thanks loonychoons

    Hi loonychoons,

Have a look thru this thread http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=42051

Both Jim and the 'dude are advocates of CookieJar. By reputation it is very good, and as pointed out, not a big user of your system resources.

    Regards - Charles

    Where to obtain Cookiejar?

Charles I am a fan of both Jim and surferdude2 so I feel good about your advice. I searched Google for Cookiejar and a number of hits came up? I want to get the proper program so would you supply a source? Just to be sure that I obtain the one that you are suggesting. Thanks in advance for your help!!! It is persons like you that reinforce my good feelings about having become a lifetime contributing member. loonychoons Lenny Chowns

Thank you for your time and your interest in my posting and problem. I will give your suggested web site a look-see.I have to date not heard of it? Maybe that old saying "no news is good news and/or Bad news travels fast" says that this is a good tool? Thanks again loonychoons Lenny Chowns
