    Hi folks

Thought I ought to do a Clancy and toss in me hat first before I start cussing. Well not in the usual sense by by uttering the Mac name in a PC forum.

I risk being drawn and quartered to ask if anybody here can guide a friend re installing Windows 98 on a Mac with Virtual PC installed? I have suggested that he search Microsoft's knowledge base and I've been using Google but so far, I've not found anything that compares to this wonderful help location.

Many of you probably know that Microsoft acquired a company called Connectix this past February and its Virtual PC software for the Mac. Go to http://www.connectix.com/products/vpc6m.html if you wish to read more.

Please understand, I know nothing about Macs and only that Virtual PC is software designed to enable the use of PC software and to read PC CDs.

His primary need is for Windows 95 or 98 so I did recommend he opt for Windows 98 SE as being more stable and still supported.

Can anybody help or direct us to the best source for such tech help?

    Thanks.

I would also suggest SE if it is available. Not only it is a bit more stable, but of more concern is the fact that everything is all on the one CD.

98FE needs two CDs or one CD and a very large download of SP1.

    SE illiminates all of that.

    Thanks Billy Bob

I didn't make that clear. I personally use and stick with Windows 98 SE and heartily endorse your recommendation.
