    hi
my toshiba satellite 1000-Z2 will not recognise my DVD/CD-RW combi drive. it did work when i first installed it, but after restarting it, it did not appear anywhere.
I reformatted, and it still cannot find it.....

it is a TEAC DW-224E DVD/CD-RW Drive, and a Toshiba Satellite 1000-Z2 laptop

Any help would be greatly appreciated:confused:

    Hi Paddyslammer,

Have you looked in the bios setup to make sure the drive is recognized?

    Hi Liam,

Try checking your connections. They may have come loose. Notebook connections are sometimes a pain to get connected properly with the tight workspace.
