I have been using a flat panel display for a couple of months and i have just noticed in the last couple of days that the top of the display seems to flicker. At first i thought that it was something to do with the refresh rate so i turned it back to default. This made no difference. I then plugged my monitor into the VGA port (i was using an adaptor to connect VGA to DVI) yet still this made no difference. The only other thing i can think of is that the temperature inside is too high or too low but i really do not know much about this so i won't try and change anything.
If anyone can help please post back.

    Thanks
    Alex

I have no experience of flat panel monitors, but I would contact tech support if the monitor is new - this does not sound right.

I have edited your thread title to highlight the fact that it is a flat panel.

Dell says that the optimum settings that i should use are full resolution and with a 60hz refresh rate. However at this setting the top still flickers. I then turned the refresh rate up to 75hz and the flickering stopped. You may say just leave it then, but then again i can't see that this is normal. i have tried ringing Dell but all i end up with is some women in India who can't understand what i am saying, so i am trying to fix it myself.
