TOOLS - Internet Options Error

    When I try to access my Internet option I get an error message that states "This Operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact Systems Administrator.
    Dont have a clue on what to do. Help:eek:

    I see that you might of just installed Spybot. I'm using a newer beta version of spybot so instructions are from memory
    Open Spybot in advanced mode Start---All programs or programs-----Expand Spybot----Select Advanced mode
    Click on the immunize button-----
    You may have to scroll down to see these next settings
    Take checks out of "Lock IE start page" and Lock IE control panel (something like that)
    If they are checked that will be your problem.

    An alternative is to Run: regedit

    Navigate to:
    hkey_current_user/software/policies/microsoft/internet explorer/restrictions

    Delete NoBrowserOptions from the right pane.

    I had updated SpyBot and those boxes were checked. After I unchecked them everything works how it is supposed to.

    AHHH what a relief.. I was having this problem on several machines and didn't realise it was a spybot problem.
    Thanks for the heads up.
