Click on View > Toolbars and all the toolbars are checked. I unchecked the Add on Bar but it reverts to checked whenever I restart FF. Anyway of keeping this unchecked as I don't need it?

I also found the toolbars by right clicking on an open space on the Menu Bar. They are both unchecked but when I restart then they are both checked.

    Thanks.

Update: It also reverts to checked when going to another page or opening another tab.

I think I found the cause. I have McAfee Site Advisor enabled and their icon is located on the Add-On bar. I tried to move it via customize on the tool bar but no go. I was hoping to move it to the Navigation Tool Bar. Is this possible? Am I overlooking anything?

Hi, I've just tried a check on Addon Bar and uncheck and mine works OK.
When you have the Addon Bar showing - go to the bottom of the page where the Addon Bar is - and click on X to close.
    What happens?
Does it remove check in Views?
It works that way in mine. Cheers Neil.;)

Just noticed your extra info - in Help > Restart with Addons Disabled - have you tried that?

    Hi Neil.

When I closed the Add-On bar via the x it did remove the check in View.

I restarted with the Add-Ons disabled and that made FF bland. Need the add-ons. :)

The only icon showing in the Add-On toolbar is McAfee Site Advisor. But I can't move it via customize. I want to move it to the Navigation tool bar if I can but I haven't found a way to do so. Do you have any ideas?

    Thanks.

DugE...the same thing happens if you use TinyURL 2.5.0. A fix is due in the next week or so.

Neil, I was just checking your link and found that it is indeed the site advisor. Bummer. I am still trying to find a way to move the advisor icon to the navigation toolbar next to the W.O.T. icon. Still I may just disable it since WOt is more reliable. Thanks for the link.

chrisw, good to know a fix is in the making. I'll be looking forward to it. Thanks.

Glad to know it helped answer your questions. I find that FF Support often helps as you find others are experiencing similar problems.

Same with Thunderbird. I use both systems in several home comps.
    Cheers Neil.:D
