I just noticed in Computer Management that both of my harddrives are list as active.

Disk 0 has three partitions (C,D,E), and and only C is listed as active (D&E are listed as Logical drives). But my newer 1 TB drive (disk 1) is listed as active too.

Should I make disk 1 disk inactive, or does it matter? It is only used for storage and backups.

Only the system drive/partition from which the system is booted needs to be set as active.

Not sure how disk 1 became active, but I noticed its active status in computer management while trying to figure out why a flash drive would not boot with backup media installed.
