Please be patient when waiting for help here. I come to this board regularly and lately I have been avoiding this particular forum because frankly it is getting overwhelming, the growing number of spyware infected computers.

I do these types of repairs for a living part time and make real good money at it. I also enjoy helping others as much as I can here and at another forum.

If you post a HjT log here it may take a bit until someone gets to it here. It's tedious work to go through those logs on a webpage.

But we WILL assist as often as we can. I am certain I am not alone in my views...

Thanks Tony. While I don't need help I thought that was a great post.

Thought I would add my $.02. I don't/can't provide much help to other people because my computer background and troubleshooting experiences are limited and I fear that I may just add to others problems. Besides, it is difficult to get your answer in faster than most of the experts on this board.

One thing I have noticed over the years is that some people seem to do little research before posting a problem here. When a problem pops up, they immediately run a HiJack This log, post it here (often without even a title or description of the problem), and then expect the experts to analyze the problem and provide the solution.

Because I know that I will probably get some penetrating questions when I post a problem on this board, I try to do as much research as I can before posting. There is a wealth of information on almost any problem one could encounter - either through a search on this board or a simple Google search. A few times I have been able to solve the problem on my own before posting - which gives me a good feeling and frees up the problem solvers to look at other problems.

My advice - do some work before posting a thread. Who knows - you might even find the answer on your own. And, you will probably be able to more adequately describe your problem to the problem solvers. This post is probably more suited to the General Forum but I was just following TonyT's lead.
